We built Blueberry because the daycare search felt… broken.
During our first pregnancy, we expected a clear process. Instead, it was PDFs, dead ends, and a lot of “just call around”. We wanted something that makes the first steps obvious—and keeps everything organised when life is already very full.
Why we started Blueberry
We talked to friends and family who’d just done the daycare hunt and honestly couldn’t believe the stories: endless cold calls, hours of digging, and everyone inventing their own tracking system because nothing really pulled it all together.
We did the same thing. We opened every link we could find (seriously—pages of Google results), built spreadsheets, and still struggled to answer simple questions: What’s normal? What should we ask? What’s the difference between regulated and private? Who did we contact? Who do we follow up with? And who called them last—was it you or me?
So we built Blueberry: a free directory that covers daycares across Saskatchewan (regulated and private), plus Premium tools that help you move fast. Within a few minutes, we’ll build a personalized shortlist of daycares we think you should apply to, make it easy to reach out quickly from your own inbox, and keep everything tracked in one calm place.

Spring 2025
A group of parents compared notes and realised the normal daycare process was way more stressful than it needed to be.
Summer 2025
We assembled a Saskatchewan-wide daycare dataset (regulated + private) and launched our first alpha search.
Fall 2025
We started building what became the first version of Blueberry Premium: the personalized shortlist, fast outreach, and a calmer tracker.
December 2025
Blueberry Early Access opened across Saskatchewan.
